Benefis Northwest Urgent Care
Healthcare

Location: Great Falls, Montana

The new Benefis Northwest Urgent Care facility addresses the Great Falls community’s need for expanded walk-in healthcare services. Converted from a building that previously housed a Party America store, Benefis Northwest features an onsite laboratory, an x-ray room, and 17 specialized and dedicated procedure rooms.

ACE provided the professional mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for the two-story, 7,600-square-foot facility. The mechanical system design uses three packaged rooftop units to heat and cool the facility. A fan coil/heat pump used in conjunction with electric radiant heaters provides additional cooling and heating capacity in the high-traffic vestibule area.

Design included adding fire protection to the building. The lavatories feature vitreous china wall-mounted units, and all “wet area” countertops have solid-surface Corian with integral solid-surface sinks. Two of the procedure rooms have deck-mounted eyewash stations.

All lighting for the building was designed for LED fixtures, and the waiting room and exam rooms feature USB outlets for patients and their families.
