We are seeking CAD/BIM Technicians to fill positions in our growing office. Associated of Applied Science in Drafting and Design Technology preferred.

Desired Applicant should possess proficiency in drafting utilizing AutoCAD and Revit computer aided design software to prepare technical drawings and plans. Experience using Microsoft Office and building information modeling programs desired. Applicant must also be proficient in understanding of engineering scales and basic computer windows file systems and use. Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, or Revizto experience a bonus.

Associated Construction Engineering is seeking candidates for a Low Voltage System Designer position located in Billings, MT to join our team! The Low Voltage System Designer is responsible for the design of systems including structured cabling systems, fire alarm, access control, video surveillance, nurse call, clock/intercom, audiovisual & public address systems and other related systems of similar scope for a wide variety of projects including new construction and remodels. Project types include Commercial, Education, Government, Healthcare, Historic, Hospitality, Mixed Use, Office, Retail and Residential. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the RCDD and engineers in the design, development, and creation of drawings and specifications of low voltage systems on a wide variety of projects.
  • Generate construction documents from engineered, red-line drawings, as-built drawings, and designed low voltage systems under supervision.
  • Work and learn within AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Plangrid, Revit and BIM Modeling programs.
  • Learn and understand IBC, IFC, NEC, NFPA 72, TIA 568 and all other applicable codes.
  • Think creatively to suggest improvements to support working in a team environment.
  • Work efficiently to meet project timelines while maintaining quality.
  • Open willingness to continual learning.
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by management.

Required

  • RCDD and/or NICET Fire Alarm Certification is preferred but not required. If certification has not been obtained, willingness to put in time and work to obtain certification.
  • AAS or BS in related field or drafting/architecture with a focus on CAD designing or equivalent is preferred. Electrical Engineer or EIT is a plus.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel). Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) preferred.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
