ACE welcomes our first female electrical engineer
BELGRADE, MONT., May 30, 2021 – Associated Construction Engineering Inc. welcomes Stephanie Smith, our newest electrical engineer and first female electrical engineer, to the ACE team. She works in our Belgrade office. Ms. Smith joined ACE full-time in May 2021 after working as an intern. She is a 2021 graduate of Montana State University in Bozeman, where she received her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Ms. Smith grew up looking up at Glacier National Park, a place near and dear to her heart. She worked in the park’s IT office over summer and winter breaks for four years, and that’s not her only connection to the Crown of the Continent or engineering. Her father is a civil engineer at GNP and her grandfather was a hydro electric designer for several large dams across the country. She was a teaching assistant for three years while at MSU, and she enjoys teaching ballet when she’s not designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
